With a concept designed by Francesco Struglia, Phiequipe, a Livorno-based shipyard specializing in small luxury tenders, presents its idea for the next flagship of the Greyhound range.
A walkaround watercraft just over 9 meters long, for an enviable width that approaches 3 meters, Levriero 32 fully embodies Phiequipe’s elegant yet understated style. The soft lines of the sides descend gently toward the stern, the true focus of this model.
In the large cockpit, behind the helm station, a wet bar turns vergo the convivial area, consisting of a table and settee, just behind the engines. Low bulwarks and a small beach set on the same plane as the walkway give unobstructed access to the water. Walk through the walkways to the bow, where, on the deckhouse, a forward-facing settee can be converted to a sundeck. The helm station is protected by a large, wraparound windshield, which also encloses access to the cabin below.
Despite its compact length, Greyhound 32 offers a forward cabin with a full bathroom with shower on the starboard side and a second compartment under the cockpit that can be used as storage or a second cabin-two interesting and not obvious features on this size. This model will have an outboard motor housed on a bracket and a capacity for 10 passengers.
With Greyhound 32, Phiequipe decided to innovate not only the product, offering a model that embodies the characteristics of a walkaround daycruiser that would not disfigure as a tender for a maxi-yacht, but also the production process. The idea is platform sharing borrowed from the automotive industry: several companies collaborated to create a completely new boat by starting with an existing hull from another yard and making it modular with a new deck.
