Just six months after the acquisition of Perini and Picchiotti, The Italian Sea Group officially re-launches the Picchiotti brand which, since 1975, has been a symbol of Italian excellence in marine style and elegance
Picchiotti Yachts Gentleman 33
On the way is the new fleet that will be named Gentlemen, which will also mark the group’s entry among the builders of production yachts and superyachts. The project stems from the ambition to create a product inspired by the silhouette of the American yachts of the 1960s and sees the vision of Giovanni Costantino, founder and CEO of TISG, combine with the work of Luca Dini and his Design & Architecture who developed this range with Kurt Lehman and his Yacht Moments Consultant.
“This new line,” comments Giovanni Costantino, “clearly inspired by the golden years of post-war yachting, both in terms of layout and materials, immediately won me over because it pays homage to historical models such as the Giglio Series or the Mistral Series, enhancing their stylistic values and sea culture. I am very proud to give a new voice to a brand that is the heritage of the entire nautical industry, one of the oldest shipyards in the world”.
In line with TISG’s strategy of focusing as much as possible on sustainability, the hull and superstructure of the Picchiotti fleet will be made of aluminium with lines and finishes from polished mahogany on the bulwarks, to steel chrome on the bow and sides of the stern. On 15 July, the keel of the first Gentleman was laid, which will go on delivery as early as the summer of 2024. Another 15 units are already planned.
