The new Pirelli 42 inflatable boat, built by TecnoRib, will make its debut at the upcoming Düsseldorf Boat Show, which will be held from January 18 to 26, 2020.
The latest model from the shipyard based in Rescaldina—located in the Milanese hinterland, a region known for its tradition of building rib boats—completes the range of boats on offer, which now spans from the 2.90-meter small tender in the J line to the 19-meter Pirelli 1900.
This is a 12.50-meter walkaround that features all the elements that have made this type of boat so successful in recent seasons. It has a center console and plenty of space for deck life.
The design of the Pirelli 42 was developed in collaboration with the Mannerfelt Design Team. The Swedish design firm, led by Ted Mannerfelt since 2006, is also known for its racing yachts and speedboats.
By its very nature, TecnoRib’s latest creation can be used as a chase boat, a megayacht tender, or even as a stand-alone boat for daily outings or weekend trips for two.
The deck features two sunbathing areas. One is at the bow, with a backrest located against the windshield. The other is at the stern, above the engine room housing the two inboard engines.
To round out the furnishings designed for outdoor living, there is a social area with an outdoor table, partially shaded by the overhang of the T-Top. This structure flows seamlessly into the windshield.
Below deck, there is a dinette that can be converted into a double cabin. There is also a bathroom located in a separate compartment.
The Pirelli 42, originally known by its project name, Pirelli 1250, is the first model in a new product line, as evidenced by the name change. Its purpose is to satisfy its owners by combining sportiness, comfort, and design in a versatile and user-friendly boat. It offers all the advantages inherent to the RIB design: lightness, stability, and safety.
