Pirelli 42 from Tecnorib, the brand’s licensee, is the latest addition to the shipyard. She goes to fit in
In the universe of large inflatable boats
with its 13 meters and elegant appearance, aided by the use of teak on a “walk around” deck layout. Large spaces, comfortable walkways both around the central aft sundeck and between the hard top (open on the sides) and the bow.

Pirelli 42 Tecnorib: beautiful outside, a surprise inside

While the elegance of the exterior lines, the work of the Mannerfelt Design Team, may captivate, stepping aboard the feeling is of being on a truly well-thought-out dinghy. The deck is comfortable, elegant and spacious, and there is also a living area in the bow, complete with a sofa.

In the stern, on the other hand, the large platform (when there are no outboards) enhances the feeling of space. It is upon going below deck, however, that we have a pleasant surprise. Despite the 12-meter dinghy and a tapered profile, the interior cabin is tall and voluminous. Portholes provide a good amount of interior light on board.

The dinghy’s success is also confirmed by the fact that even before the Düsseldorf show, where Pirelli 42 debuted, 90 percent of the 2020 production had already been booked.

“In designing Pirelli 42 ,” says Ted Mannerfelt, Ceo and Design Director of the eponymous Swedish firm. I tried to respect the design codes of previous models of Pirelli-branded inflatable boats so that they were recognizable, enriching the sporty soul of this boat with clean, balanced and elegant lines that make its design always relevant. In addition, we have paid close attention to the areas set aside for relaxation. Driving is easy and high performance can be achieved.”

This new model, measuring 13.10 meters long by 4.1 meters wide, can mount outboard or inboard engines of different power ratings, both diesel and gasoline, and reach a maximum speed of about 45 knots.
