Esaom Cesa announces the arrival of the new 240-ton MBH travel lift at the site. The Portoferraio-based marina, which is also one of the largest shipyards in the Mediterranean with about 200,000 sq. m. of floor space and a 3,000 sq. m. shed 27 meters high for indoor storage, thus implements a new facility for hauling yachts up to 35 meters in length.
Two new travel lifts in two years
As early as 2022, Esaom Cesa was equipped with a major travel lift (in that case an impressive 880 tons, manufactured by Cimolai Tecnhology) to handle yachts up to 65 meters in length. The state-of-the-art facility was designed to Esaom Cesa’s specific requirements with a slipway width of 14 meters and a set back structure to allow hauling of any type of boat.
The new 240-ton travel lift for boats up to 35 meters is also produced by the Italian company and is another important step in the growth and development not only of Esaom Cesa, but of the wholeisland of Elba. The renovation of the marina’s facilities and shipyard, which aims to reduce its environmental impact by improving existing infrastructure, continues with this news. The expansion project also includes greater rapprochement with the social fabric, which will encourage the entry and training of new professionals in the company from the very beginning.
