Prestige F4 – 15.18 m | Preview
Prestige’s F-Line gets a makeover and introduces the next generation with the launch of a brand new model, the Prestige F4. At 15.18 meters long overall and capable of top speeds of 28 knots, the new F4 is thus the new spokesman for the range, a boat that aims to reach new levels of comfort and refinement. Three double cabins, large outdoor lounge areas, flybridge and saloon make it, in short, a cruising boat to keep an eye on. Let’s take a closer look at it in this preview.
Prestige F4 | Exterior
Starting with the exteriors, lines and volumes appear well balanced by the design of the broadside windows. The rounded, high bow blends well with the lines of the Michael Peters-designed hull, which is strong with a more pronounced V. Volumes that, overall, the windshield and fly help project aft, soaring the overall design.
Just starting from the stern are the first areas dedicated to comfort, with a large cockpit overlooking the large beach area below. Two movable sofas with a central coffee table find their place here, a solution that allows for different seating arrangements, thus changing the furniture as needed. From the cockpit, along the broadside walkways, you reach the forward spaces, which feature a single large sunpad recessed into the deckhouse.
Real outdoor treat, however, is the convivial space carved out on the Fly. Here, in fact, in addition to the external wheelhouse located to the left, there is also a full-beam L-shaped sofa served by a central table and a huge sundeck, the latter located to starboard of the wheelhouse, facing both forward and outward. An important element, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, then intervenes to complete this terrace by the sea. Finally, both a bimini and a hard-top are available to shelter from the elements.
Interior
Back in the cockpit, a natural extension of the interior spaces, one is immediately confronted with the new Ocean View galley of Prestige, a clever layout solution that positions the galley in the direction of the cockpit, thus facing both the sea and the aft convivial area, creating a bonding atmosphere between the two parts, thanks in part to the large opening glass window that separates them.
Proceeding further, the salon consists of a major living area on the port walls, complete with an L-shaped sofa and center table, while, to starboard, the helm station is located instead. Finally, in the middle of the boat, just below the windshield, is the entrance to the sleeping area below deck, consisting of three double cabins.
Thus, two doubles, one double on the starboard side and one twin-bedded on the port side, respectively, are located aft, both served by a shared bathroom. In the bow, however, is the owner’s cabin, a true gem of the below-deck. Boasting a kingsize bed and heights of 2 meters, it is complete with capacious closets, writing desk and private bathroom with separate shower stall. Optionally, a crew room is available aft of the engine room.
Propulsion and performance
Looking at the more technical details, the new F4 will be powered by a pair of Volvo IPS 650 D6s of 480 horsepower each, served by a fuel tank with a capacity of 1,300 liters. In terms of maximum design speed, the shipyard instead indicates about 28 knots, increased to 22 knots at cruising speed.
