Prestige Yachts is back in the news by introducing the new flagship of the M-Line segment: it is called Prestige M8 and, already on paper, it proves destined to take the range to levels still unheard of. Conceived around the winning philosophy of the previous Prestige M48, the new flagship (19.8 m) is designed for cruising under the banner of relaxation andart de vivre, promising unique and immersive experiences in the environment, wrapped in the comfort to which the previous model already initiated us.
Prestige M8
19.82 meters long overall and 8.85 meters wide at maximum beam, between 7 and 11 people (depending on the chosen layout) will comfortably fit aboard the flagship plus, of course, the crew, for whom two berths are reserved. But there is also no shortage of space for conviviality and relaxation, with large outdoor lounge areas and an open-plan lounge on the main deck.
Prestige M8 – Exterior
Starting with the look, the new M8 immediately evokes the family feeling of the line, presenting a relatively small beam and sleek lines, balanced by the overhangs of the superstructures. The broken lines of the windows in turn lighten the wide free edges, providing a pleasing and visually light overall design.

In terms of space and comfort, as on its predecessor, aft we find a hull platform, joined together by a central movable platform, ideal as a beach area and tender lift. Of course, it is automated. Immediately beyond, a large cockpit provides space for relaxation and conviviality, furnished with freestanding furniture and pleasantly overlooking the salon, thanks to large glass doors. Also here, we find a staircase to the flybridge, a huge terrace on the sea from which to enjoy both the view and the elements.
Prestige M8 – Flybridge
On the flybridge, unfailingly, are a wet-bar and the external wheelhouse, to the right of which we find a second access, this time directly into the salon. Aft of the latter, again on the starboard broadside we find a settee and, on the opposite walls, a table with seats. Beyond these elements, which are defaults in terms of layout, however, there are additional options designed to complete the aft part of the fly. Depending on one’s needs, one can then opt for additional sofas, a combination of sofas and loungers, or an empty space, to be managed, of course, according to one’s taste.
Finally, concluding the outdoor spaces, intervenes the forward lounge, a corner designed for the most complete relaxation, overlooking the sea. Here we find a decidedly large sundeck and an additional convivial area, complete with double facing sofas, creating virtually excellent spaces for enjoying the sea of cruising.
Prestige M8 – Interior
Decorated by Valentina Militerno de Romedis, M8’s interiors fully reflect the starting philosophy, imparting serenity and lightness to their guests. The living room, surrounded by windows and bathed in natural light, has a now classic open-space configuration, fractionated only by the furniture and open vertical elements, excellent in this sense for defining areas, but without enclosing them. In the center of the space, toward both broadside, we find access to the fly and lower starboard cabins from starboard and to the opposite cabins from port, respectively.
In the bow, between the wheelhouse and galley, located to starboard, and the meal area opposite them, we find access to the forward master cabin. The area in front of the cockpit, on the other hand, which it overlooks through large glass doors, is intended for relaxation, furnished with sofas, coffee tables, and a wet bar.
As for the sleeping area, the Prestige M8 offers several combinations related to the layout, thus allowing you to be able to choose the variant that best suits your needs. Regardless of the configuration, there is always a very spacious full-beam forward owner’s cabin, complete with a double bed, en-suite facilities, and a lounging area with tables and seating.
In addition to this first cabin (and crew double), depending on one’s needs, one can opt for different configurations, resulting in between 3 and 4 additional cabins. Should you opt for three, additional space is made available, earmarked for a second kitchen or possibly a sitting room.
Propulsion and Performance
In terms of motorization, the new M-Line flagship will be equipped with two 600-horsepower Volvo D8 V Drive engines, thus ensuring top speeds close to 20 knots. Cruise speed, on the other hand, is estimated at around 15 knots and, thanks to the 2 1850-liter tanks, provides up to 350 miles of range.
