Sunseeker returns to the sport open world with the new Superhawk 55, just unveiled and ready to hit the water in 2022. The British shipyard’s Performance family, so far occupied only by the Sunseeker Hawk 38, thus expands to include a new model. This new 16-meter boat aims to enter the day boat market with the appeal that has made Sunseeker world famous. The Sunseeker Hawk 38, a vehicle more focused on performance than on livability on board, thus has an older sibling completely devoted to the good Mediterranean life.

This new model makes livability on deck its first strong point. Starting aft, in fact, on the Sunseeker Superhawk 55 we find an aft cockpit designed with a central bar, hidden appliances, and a TV. The boat-like footprint for those who like to party is immediately apparent, and you can still choose from various configurations to suit your needs.

Here we find a symmetrical L-shaped double seat and a central sundeck with storage space for water toys or what is useful to have for bathing. Not only a motor boat, but also a base for fun on the water so much so that the garage can hold a Williams 325 jet tender and SeaBobs with six additional lockers. Instead, behind the dashboard is a wet bar.

The bow is also designed as an equally enjoyable area with versatile seating and sundeck that can slide forward and then turn into a table.

Aboard Sunseeker’s new Superhawk 55, there will continue to be a sports car feel, particularly in the layout and solutions of the dashboard. This is located behind a 5m2 windshield that offers a virtually uninterrupted view. The wheelhouse is placed exactly in the center of the boat with three total seats, including the pilot’s seat. On both the starboard and port side, two hatches open to access the bow, while in the middle of the boat

The new centerline triple rudder is a first for Sunseeker and offers an open layout with access from port and starboard, as does the ladder leading to the interior below deck. Before we go down, however, let’s look at one last detail. Worthy of note are the “Union Jack” details above the dashboard and aft. If shipbuilding in Italy has always relied heavily on “made in Italy” details, Sunseeker with these solutions aims to reaffirm the quality of “made in the UK,” in the world of powerboats.

Steps lead to an open-plan dinette with a kitchen area located under LED lighting. Much attention has been given to brightness in this area of the boat with recessed light solutions complemented by curved wood and lacquered finishes. This serves to give an idea of great value and care to those who come on board.

A pop-up TV is built above the galley to allow this area to be transformed into a convivial area with seating and a dedicated drinks cabinet behind.

In the bow is the VIP stateroom with bathroom, padded side units and a portside closet. A TV is also located at the base of the large bed. Aft is the master cabin with bed and bathroom. The interior can be customized in terms of colors and furnishings.

Sunseeker Superhawk 55 – Navigation

As a model in the Performance range, performance is undoubtedly one of the strengths of this 16-meter model. To give maximum maneuverability combined with attractive top speeds (and low fuel consumption), Sunseeker’s Superhawk 55 is powered by Volvo D11 engines with IPS 950 with which a top speed of 38 knots is reached.
