Beneteau does not stop and expands the Antares range with the new Beneteau Antares 8. A compact and sporty boat, suitable for short-range cruises with family or friends. An 8-meter versatile boat that fully meets its owner’s needs. The boat, in fact, is offered in two different versions: Cruising, with special focus on comfort and conviviality; and Fishing, specifically designed for fishing enthusiasts.
Here are the first photos of the Beneteau Antares 8. Our sea trial is scheduled for the second half of October.
Beneteau Antares 8
The middle model in the Antares range, the new 8 is a pure weekender available in a pure cruising version or a sportier one with accommodation up to 9 people. The stern houses a modular cockpit, which can be completely transformed into a sundeck or remain a dining table. The aft bench hides a locker, but can also be moved to allow the outboard to be raised. The bench in front can be used to house an icebox, which is very useful when cruising. Above the hard-top is a luggage rack that is ideal for storing things you don’t need when cruising, such as kayaks, SUPs or even bicycles.
The helm station offers a 360-degreeview of the outside thanks to the large windows that also make the interior of the boat bright. The interior equipment of the Antares 8 includes a galley with fridge and hob (gas or electric) for sailing.
The Antares 8 can also be fitted with an air conditioning system and can accommodate up to 5 people sleeping on board. There are two double berths, one in the cabin and one in the wheelhouse, with space for an extra bed under the saloon. The habitability of the Antares 8 is completed by a comfortable head.
Beneteau Antares 8 – Hull and Fishing
Beneteau Antares 8 retains the hull design common to the entire Antares range. The helm station has an optional 12-inch control plotter. Power comes from a 250hp engine which delivers a maximum speed of 35 knots.
In the Fishing version, the Antares 8 has an open cockpit for easy movement on board. The rear seat is replaced by a fishing station with rod holders. In addition to the livewell, the Fishing version also has three lockers in the cockpit floor.
The new Antares 8 will be world premiered at the next Southampton International Boat Show. Then, the boat will be presented at the La Rochelle, Barcelona, Paris and Düsseldorf boat shows.
