Princess Y95 (29.1 m)
Signed by Pininfarina and the British firm Olesinski, comes another novelty for the coming season. It is the Princess Y95, the new flagship of Princess’ Y-Class, a 29-meter crafted for maximum comfort, style and performance. Strong 4 cabins on the lower deck and an owner’s suite on the main deck, the new Y-95 is designed to take up to 10 people plus crew on a cruise, all while being immersed in a design environment that can be configured to your taste. A veritable mansion on the water, however, strong with 4,000 total horsepower and speeds of 25 knots.
Exterior
The flagship of the Y-Class, Princess’ new 95-footer is a yacht that does not go unnoticed. Sleek in its lines, it offers not inconsiderable outdoor spaces, starting with the large aft beach area, complete with tender garage and double staircase access to the cockpit. The latter, basically a terrace facing the water on three sides, is furnished, in its standard version, by a large central C-shaped sofa, with the main back facing aft and two central coffee tables in front.
To starboard from the salon access, a completely wide-open window, are the stairs leading to the fly, the hub of convivial outdoor living. Indeed, here they take their place, in addition to the wheelhouse, an L-shaped sofa immediately flanking it and, just aft, a large oval table to starboard and an open bar to port. Finally, at the aft end, facing towards it, is an additional L-shaped sofa, which is particularly large and served by additional seating. Of course, these furnishings are relative the standard version, but Princess provides a consultant so that you can design it to suit your needs.
Back on the main deck, there is one last open area at the bow, divided into two levels. At deckhouse height it takes a large sundeck, separated in the center by a walkway, so that this, given its size, is easily accessible and usable by several people. Proceeding further, one step lower and toward the bow, a final lounge area offers a sofa and additional seating overlooking the sea.
Princess Y95 – Interior
In terms of interior space, in addition to a total of 10 berths spread over five guest cabins, four of which are on the lower deck, two double doubles and two twin singles (all with en-suite bathrooms), the Y95 also offers considerable space on the main deck. Here, arriving from the stern, one is immediately greeted by a large salon overlooking the cockpit, a bright and airy room furnished with a large living area surrounded by glass windows. Two sofas thus populate this area, which, proceeding further, gives way to a large central table, ideal for dining, given also the proximity to the kitchen area immediately beyond.
Proceeding in the forward direction, one in fact encounters access to the lower deck, immediately followed by the galley, a large room with all the necessary amenities. Further still it finally takes its place in the master suite, bright and complete with designer furnishings, sofa, double bed, dressing room and private toilet room.
Propulsion and performance
Served by a 13,400-liter fuel tank, the new flagship sees two MAN V12 engines of 2,000 horsepower each installed. Combined with a state-of-the-art slender hull, they provide top speeds close to 25 knots.
