Pyxis 30 WAis a 9.4-meter multi-purpose motor boat, therefore a natante in Italy (no registration requirement). Produced by the Swiss shipyard Pyxis Yachts, it was created both for weekend getaways for couples or families, but also for more sporty use. Pyxis 30 WA in cruiser version was therefore born as a boat for weekend outings with the possibility of staying overnight on board. The sporty and attractive hull shape at the same time ensures a high standard in terms of navigational safety. This hull was born from extensive research in terms of 3D modeling and then a five-axis milling machine with CAM technology, which has been used since the first prototype. The result? A boat for those seeking performance, comfort and seaworthiness in a sporty and elegant boat.
Design
The Pyxis 30 is a boat with an Italian heart. In fact, the two designers who thought up the vessel are Alessandro Chessa of Akes Design and Carlo Galeazzi, a leading name in the world of interior design.
Starting from the stern we find a cockpit an ‘L’ shaped sofa and a second opposed one. These offer a large seating area, which can accommodate up to eight passengers in total comfort. Behind the rear sofa, two spiaggette built into the transom wrap around the outboard motor housing.
This area is then easily converted into a single sundeck. If desired, it can also turn into a kitchen with a dining table and special recessed storage lockers. A small kitchenette is located behind the dashboard and is complete with a stove, sink, and refrigerator. In this we see the experience of those who have spent a lot of time on board, as choosing this solution improves livability and also reduces traffic during meals.
Speaking of the dashboard, it houses a 12-inch plotter, depth sounder, compass, VHF radio, joystick on the Pyxis 30 WA. The owner can then choose any type of instrument for complete customization of the navigation station, so as to create the boat tailored to his or her needs. The wide hard-top protects against the weather as well as the sun and wind. It also provides solid support for street lights, solar panels, antennas, and other custom equipment.
Moving forward, through the wide walk-around walkways, we also find a 1.8-m XXL sundeck. This allows both fore and aft to enjoy relaxation to the fullest.
Pyxis 30 WA – Below Deck
A sliding door to the left of the wheelhouse gives access to the cabin. Below deck, the Pyxis 30 WA’s elegant smoke portholes allow natural, pleasant and efficient lighting. While the bow skylight ensures excellent ventilation. The large forward master stateroom is spacious and elegant.
“In designing the interior of the Pyxis 30 WA,” says Carlo Galeazzi, architect and yacht designer. We wanted to put space enhancement first and foremost at the center. In our team, we always refer to a scale of values, which guides us in dealing with project issues. This scale sees space in first place, and then, important but in hierarchical sequence, function and form. It is also this that allowed us to optimize the layout, resulting in as many as two generously sized double beds, and a separate and independent bathroom. The dècor is characterized by a base in which “non-color” prevails for upholstery (fabrics and leather) and desaturated shades for wood.”
We also find a large, freestanding, full-height toilet on board for complete privacy for guests on board. Below deck there is also a closet area equipped with comfortable seating. This boat is then also suitable for family cruising: in fact, a second double “French” bed can be installed in the middle of the boat.

“Pyxis 30 WA,” explains Alessandro Chessa of Akes Design. Is a multipurpose boat. It is very comfortable outdoors and in the cabin, safe in all conditions, and ideal for fishing trips and fast sailing. The line is sleek and modern, with a semi-vertical foredeck from which the variable deep-V hull with 4 support skids starts. the broadside with large fenestration and generous coping make its line unique. The hull with the special bow wheel and high waterline length has real dimensions comparable to those of a much longer boat, with all the benefits that come with it in longitudinal and transverse stability, roll and pitch resistance, smoothness , quickness of glide and seakeeping.”
The Pyxis 30 WA has found the perfect combination of performance and comfort with outboard systems. In the most powerful configuration, with two engines of 300hp each, it touches top speeds around 50 knots. In the quieter version with two outboard motors of 200 horsepower each, however, it reaches about 40 knots. The 550-liter fuel tank then provides good cruising range.
