The Quarken 35 Cabin is the new 10-meter cabin boat from the Finnish shipyard that made its name a few years ago with its 8-meter model. The Quarken 35 Cabin (10.68 x 2.48 m) will debut at the Düsseldorf Boat Show 2024 from January 20-28 and combines Nordic style and minimalism with the characteristics of a Mediterranean sport boat.

The Finnish shipyard tried to keep evident the features that had made the Quarken 27 a popular model. Also aboard the Quarken 35 in fact we find a
hull with steps
and outboard propulsion, here delegated to two Yamaha F300 V6 with integrated digital electric steering. From the point of view of lines then we find the clean design typical of Nordic boats that characterizes this new boat as much in the exteriors as in the interiors, and there is no shortage of possibilities to customize different aspects of the layout.

In the aft area, the designers chose to place a three-seat settee and table, well-protected, with two lockers and folding bulwarks on either side of the hull to create a terrace overlooking the sea. Close to the deck house, on the other side of the table, you can choose to have a second twin mirrored settee, or a wet bar. The two side walkways provide convenient access to the bow, with a spacious sundeck dominating the scene.

The interior is accessed through two glass doors, a classic aft door and a sliding door to starboard, which together with the 360-degree fenestration and panoramic glass ceiling create great continuity between the exterior and interior environments, as well as an all-around panoramic view. However, if natural light is not enough to illuminate the area, RGB LED lights can be adjusted according to the preferred intensity. Entering the lounge/dinette we find the kitchen with two induction burners on the left side and a single seat (with drawers and storage space in the cabinet below), while on the other side we find the built-in refrigerator and the second table, served by a settee and-depending on the option chosen-the wheelhouse settee or two seats. In fact, as standard, we find a two-person sofa designed to act as a seat for both driver and table and convertible (thanks to the cushioning) into a two-person bunk. Instead, as an option, you can choose to have two individual sport seats, which can still be rotated and used to stand at the table as well.

Speaking of the pilot, we come to the wheelhouse and electronics. The dashboard with the steering wheel in the center is very clean and neat, equipped with all the latest instruments signed Garmin and automatic trim system ZipWake. Optional extras include, for example, a second 12-inch Garmin chartplotter, GMR 18 HD radar and aft camera, as well as autopilot Yamaha.

The sleeping area is accessed from the central tambour next to the wheelhouse. Here we find a single room with a large double bed on the bow and a second bed (for one person or two children) that can be made by sliding the mattress over the table we find on the starboard side. The bathroom, on the other hand, is seprarated and on the opposite side, with toilet, washbasin, mirror, and shower.

The price of the Quarken 35 starts (according to Quarken’s website) from 240,000 euros ex-works, including the two outboards without a propeller, excluding all ancillary costs (VAT, taxes, transportation, insurance…).
