The results of an on-board Quick gyro stabilizer

The success of the stabilizers has now made them a very interesting option on board. For some indispensable. Among the most appreciated are the gyro stabilizers Quick Gyro from Quick, an Italian company that produces nautical accessories that are exported all over the world.

Quick’s boat stabilizers are taking this accessory to smaller and smaller boats. Even a boat of 28 feet, just over 8 meters, can fit a Quick gyro stabilizer, in particular MC² Quick Gyro X2.

This work has not gone unnoticed at shipyard level and many builders have formed partnerships such as Monte Carlo Yachts, Cantiere del Pardo (for the Pardo Yachts motor line) to name but a few.

Here is the video on how it works and the testimonials of the shipyards.

How gyroscopic stabilizers work

By fitting an appropriate gyroscope on board, the gyroscope has a certain capacity to react to the annoying rolling generated by the wave motion. It transfers part of the energy to a less annoying way.

The MC² Quick Gyro gyro stabilizer developed by Quick is equipped with a flywheel rotation system on a horizontal axis. This limits both heat generation and mechanical stress. They are air-cooled and not water-cooled. Therefore, they do not require new seawater intakes and water pumps.
