, it is now another well-known sportsman to get involved in this new championship.

The Majorcan’s passion for the sea is no mystery. Formerly the owner of a Monte Carlo 76, he now uses a

as his own personal yacht. The passion for motoryachts seems, however, to be evolving now into environmental consciousness as well, sincethe 22-time Grand Slam winner will also support theE1 Blue Action Program, led by marine ecologist Carlos Duarte.

What is it all about? This project was created to protect and sometimes restore marine ecosystems along the coasts of the cities that will host the championship stages.

“I’m really excited to be involved in a project like E1 that enhances sustainability and will have a positive impact on society as a whole, especially coastal communities. I also particularly appreciate the fact that E1 has such a clear mission and is committed to preserving marine ecosystems. As a professional athlete, I recognize that marginal gains have a positive impact on performance. E1 applies this same competitive spirit and approach to optimize the performance and efficiency of sustainable marine mobility is this is great news for our oceans.”

“It is incredible news that a name like Rafael Nadal is joining the E1 UIM World Championship. He is not only one of the greatest tennis players of all time, he is also a sports icon who has transcended his sport. Talking with Nadal, I immediately realized how important sustainability is to him and how strong his passion for the ocean is. E1’s mission is to accelerate the transition to more sustainable mobility and restore marine ecosystems, goals also strongly shared by Nadal and his team. I would like to thank Nadal and his family for welcoming us into his academy, and we wish him good luck in his upcoming tournament. Vamos Rafa!”
