RIBs are becoming more and more important on the market and the uses of these motorboats are growing all the time. If you think about how many boat manufacturers there are in Italy, it is easy to understand how much Italian RIBs are appreciated practically everywhere. From France, the main export market, to Australia, passing through Spain and the Netherlands, the Italian RIB is known as absolute excellence. For many, it is one of the family, a protagonist in its own way in photo albums whose engine, or engines, are switched on to coincide with the actual start of the holiday.
2021 RIBS: pros
The versatility of this type of boat lies in the fact that they are both safe and hihìgh-performance. The tubular provides security from the moment you are at the dock and about to cast off. It is in the nature of a RIB to leave the owner, even the less experienced, more relaxed in all phases of manoeuvring in tight spaces. At the same time it is a boat that is certainly more comfortable at anchor. Just think how easy it is to rest your head on the tubular using it as a cushion while lying on the bow sundeck.
Even in 2021 the RIB continues to exert a very strong fascination, confirming the growing trend of recent years. There are, indeed, inflatable boats to suit all tastes, including sport fishing. Some are faster, while others are also suitable for short cruises. Then there are the pure RIB “day cruisers” with just what you need for the perfect day at sea. We’ve selected ten models, between eight and thirteen metres long, that you can be sure of choosing your next RIB.

MARLIN BOATS Marlin 24 X | 7.25 m
Based on the hull of the Marlin 24 SR, the Marlin 24X is a RIB with truly remarkable seaworthy qualities, also guaranteed by the central step in the hull that allows smooth and safe navigation. The tubulars of this 7-metre boat are in Neoprene-Hypalon and it is fitted out on deck with a central console (and small toilet room) with a double seat for the pilot and co-pilot. The back of the seat can be lowered towards the stern to create a cockpit with a central table that can seat up to six people. Folding down the table creates a large 150×170 cm sundeck. Joining the console seat with the bow seat creates a large sundeck (approximately 200×170 cm) under which there is also a storage locker. There are also accessories such as the kitchen seat, the rollbar with integrated awning, and the table. Lomac GranTurismo Cruiser 12.5 | 12.5 m
The aim of this new model is to combine the performance of a RIB with the habitability of a weekender. For this reason, in addition to the deck plan, the interior of the boat has also been carefully developed, with a cabin, head and storage areas. It is no coincidence that the new GranTurismo 12.5 is called the Cruiser and is the result of all the development work done on the Lomac GranTurismo 12. As far as the hull lines are concerned, the yard’s experience means that lines have been developed that are suitable for handling triple and double engines.

Anvera 42 | 12.9 m
For Anvera, carbon fibre is much more than a material. It is the very essence of the brand and the Anvera 42, built by LG-YACHT, is no exception. An inflatable boat that interprets all the main trends of the moment in an almost 13-metre hull: folding bulwarks and a large platform to make the stern cockpit as livable as possible. Carbon fibre allows this RIB to remain light and powerful, while also reducing consumption thanks to the lightness of the craft. Forward of the helm station there is space for a sunpad just below the windscreen. Below deck there is a cabin and a bathroom.
