This is one of the summaries that can be offered when talking about the newcomer to the house Rio Yachts, the Daytona 45, a 13.7 meters strong with lots of comfort, fold-down masonry and sporting spirit to spare, with peak speed between 38 and 44 knots, depending on the chosen motorization.

Ideal as a weekender and perfect for day trips, the new Daytona 45 -which recently debuted at the Genoa Boat Show- is a boat that seeks to best combine the needs of those who appreciate both comfort and performance, offering, in addition to the fun given by speed, style, comfort and 4 beds.

Exterior

The glance immediately offers a specific impression, enhancing the clean lines of a sport boat and the elegance of a streamlined, well-balanced design. The sloping windshield emphasizes the forward momentum while providing a well-protected cockpit and ample lounge space on deck.

Starting precisely from the bow, the Daytona 45 in fact offers an integrated lounge area on the deckhouse, complete with a sundeck capable of accommodating three people and a sofa at the foot of it, both facing forward. Two protected walkways lead from here to the aft spaces, with the console amidships, protected by hard tops. They find a place here for the command bridge, to starboard, and a kitchen countertop symmetrical to it, to the left.

Coming to the cockpit, just behind the helm station a first convivial space comes to life, consisting of two symmetrical lounge sofas facing both the center of the boat and the large aft sundeck, served by a central table in its forward part. A special treat in this area is the ability to move the seats around, allowing you to change the layout of the cockpit, transforming it to suit your needs in a matter of minutes.

To enrich the aft spaces, the broadside sections in the cockpit are folded down, creating a terraced area on the sea. There is also no shortage of a stern platform and tender garage.

Rio Daytona 45 – Interior

Recessed to the left of the wheelhouse is access to the interior spaces, which are bright and feature a multi-purpose open space. Two total cabins, plus a separate bathroom bed, find their place here.

In fact, a twin cabin with two single beds takes its place in the stern, while, forward of the entrance area, where the galley is also located, a large double bed is carved out, making this area the owner’s suite.

Engines and performance

In terms of engines and performance, the Daytona 45 offers interesting options, distinct, first of all, on two different propulsion options. Indeed, one can opt for a pair of Yanmar Stern Drive 370 horsepower per engine, thus achieving performance equivalent to 32 knots cruising speed and 38 knots top speed (average consumption, 120 l/h, the pair) or, a pair of Mercury Verado V10 outboards, 400 horsepower each, is available for cruising speeds of 32 knots and top speeds of 44 knots (average consumption 180 l/h the pair). In both cases, the fuel tank offers a capacity of 1,200 liters.
