Rio Yachts continues to push on the new Daytona range by rounding out the lineup with a new 45-foot walkaround cabin cruiser that fits in between the
Daytona 34
and the Daytona 50. It is scheduled to make its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023, September 12-17, 2023, while at the Genoa Boat Show we will see it the week immediately after, September 21-26, 2023 .

Rio Daytona 45

It changes the size, but the DNA is the same. Rio Yachts’ Daytona models are immediately recognizable by their lines and interpret the walkaround concept in an original way. The latest is called the Daytona 45 and is a 13-meter that can be powered either outboard or inboard as needed. It has four beds and one bathroom and reaches a maximum speed of just under 40 knots.

Exterior

What does this 13-meter walkaround look like? Daytonas are hulls created to combine versatility and outdoor space with fun speeds. The project again features designer Marino Alfani, who worked on a streamlined yet comfortable motorboat idea.

What does it look like on deck? In the cockpit we find a large sundeck at the far aft end, a tender garage, and a separate area with movable seating with which the configuration can be changed in a matter of minutes. Rio Yachts with this 13-meter powerboat insists on the presence of fold-down broadside by which the floor area on board is expanded when they are down. In addition, this solution allows the relationship with the sea to be amplified to the maximum. The dashboard, on the other hand, is designed to remain protected under a hard-top whose coverage the outdoor kitchen also enjoys. This choice maximizes sundeck and table space and takes advantage of the portside area near the below-deck access to place the wet-bar. The forward passage on either side leads to the bow of the Rio Daytona 45 where we encounter a double sofa contrasted forward by the sundeck on the deckhouse.

Rio Daytona 45 – Interior

The bright interior, designed by SY DESIGN studio, is represented by a multi-purpose open space as soon as you go below deck that gives onto the forward cabin with a double bed, while aft is a second double cabin. So in total we have four beds and a bathroom with a separate shower stall.

Propulsion

Speaking of propulsion, the Rio Daytona 45 can be powered by either two 400-horsepower V10 Mercury outboards or two sterndrives Yanmar 8 LV by 370 horsepower, with cruising speed around 32 knots in both cases and top speed between 38 and 44 knots.
