Rodman started a new course with the Ventura range. After the Rodman 690 Ventura previewed, this time we got to board the new Rodman 790 Ventura CC debuting at the Boot Düsseldorf 2023.
Rodman 790 Ventura CC
The pandemic has brought a large number of new boaters, people who have no or little boating experience, closer to boating. The Spanish shipyard, a symbol of “made in Spain” pleasure boatbuilding, has therefore decided to launch a range of entry-level boats capable of being ideal as a first boat. The Rodman Ventura 790 is a larger but mirrored version of the Ventura 690.

The version we boarded is still a walkaround version, with only a small central cabin under the console, more suitable as storage than for overnight stays. The shipyard, however, said it is working on a sun-top (bow) version, which will actually increase the volume of the forward area by elevating the sundeck and creating interior space for a cabin. This will, therefore, become Rodman’s “sports weekender.”
Rodman 790 Ventura CC – Blanket
Essential, but concrete. The new Rodman 790 in the configuration displayed in Germany features two side decks around the outboard (up to 300 horsepower). On the left an opening allows for movement and boarding. A sofa remains on the right, a removable coffee table in the center, and toward the bow two seats (pilot and co-pilot) that can be rotated so they can also be used for dining. On board this model, as offered, there are no particular frills, but what is there appears to be of good quality. Following the line of “less is more” for this entry-level boat, the line taken seems to have been: few things, but things that are needed and well done.
If the one in the stern is a more convivial area, in the bow we have a real relaxation area with a large modular sundeck and the possibility of creating a sheltered area with a system of poles and canvas.
