Santasevera Yacht, the young Italian shipyard that debuted in Cannes with its S52, an interesting 16-meter, will also bring to the now upcoming Dusseldorf Boat Show, scheduled for January 18-26, two smaller models, S46 and S40, 14 and 12 meters respectively, which will complete the range announced so far.
What to expect from these new models?
S46 and S40 are also designed by Francesco Guida and will follow the style of the flagship, making the new brand immediately distinguishable in every hull in its range. They will retain the same clean, extremely streamlined lines that make them so sleek. Seen in profile they will therefore be very similar, with the major difference between the various models remaining the length of the hull towards the stern, which will gradually become shorter and shorter. S40, therefore, will also turn out to be the one with the most “classic” proportions, losing a little of that particularly appealing layout seen on S52.
Santasevera S40
Santasevera’s little one, is a 12.55-meter f.t. yacht 4.00 wide, a scaled-down version of her bigger sisters. It retains the stylistic features of the range: semi-arched superstructure windows and a small deckhouse, typical features of American lobster boats, revisited in a geometric and modern key, such as the inverted foredeck. The deck layout also echoes the pivotal elements of her big sisters: aft, huge island sundeck, above the tender garage, while sheltered by the superstructure, is the on-board convivial area, consisting of a large sofa surrounding the table and the galley area, close to the helm station. Between these two areas are two other small, symmetrical sundecks on the sides.
The interior of Santasevera 40
Instead, the organization below deck changes to accommodate the new dimensions. From this point of view, deckhouse and foredeck are key to carving out the space for the master cabin, not an easy task, considering the little freeboard offered by these lines so low on the water, but a successful one, since there is room for a queen-size bed, a small sofa with wardrobe and, of course, a separate bathroom.
Motorization
Both new models will retain inboard motorization, a hallmark of the shipyard. S40 will be powered by a pair of Volvo Penta D4s of 320 hp each, which can take it to a top speed of 30 knots and maintain it at a cruise of 26.
