Saxdor Yachts is the latest idea of Sakari Mattila, the volcanic designer among the founders of internationally successful boat brands such as Axopar, Paragon, Aquador and XO.
Sakari Mittila’s goal is to create a boat for all budgets, and Saxdor’s first model is a “water scooter.” Not a big watercraft, let’s be clear, because the characteristics are just that of a boat. The seats, however, are undoubtedly reminiscent of a scooter.
Let’s cut to the chase: this Saxdor powerboat is a 6-meter outboard that in the basic version is equipped with a 100-horsepower Mercury outboard with which it touches 34 knots of speed. The price of a new boat? 22,140 €, excluding VAT already motorized.
For those who want more performance, it is possible to mount a more powerful engine already on the Saxdor 200 SPORT or upgrade to the 200 SPORT PRO, designed for more powerful engines.
The standard boat is equipped with a triple jockey seat and a large bow sundeck. But what can be added? Everything one wants by choosing from the options.
From bimini to T-Top, stereo system, trim tabs and plotters of all kinds. You can also create a “tent” area in the bow for those who want to sleep on board. Whether fishing, water sports, enjoying the water with friends and family or going to the beach there is a version of this Saxdor for everyone.
Saxdor Yachts worked with J&J Design to create an entry level boat that is lightweight (about 700 kg), economical to run, fun to use, and easy to drive. The double-step hull is designed for fast and maneuverable riding even for the inexperienced.
Sakari Mattila, in two years, aims to extend the range to 50-foot boats.
