Scanner Envy 1400 with Mercury outboards is the latest addition to Scanner Marine.
The Envy 1400 Scanner is the flagship of the Scanner shipyard. A rib boat that focuses on elegance and performance. We tested it (read the test here) with a Volvo Penta D6-440 Dpi engine. While large inflatable boats are becoming more and more important in the boating market, outboards are becoming more and more important. This also applies to boats of almost 14 meters. In this case, the Envy 1400 Scanner is powered by one of the most successful outboards of the last two years: the 450 horsepower Mercury Racing (read here all the secrets of these engines).
A powerful and fast maxi rib, able to touch even the 60 knots pushed by the 1350 total horsepower given by the three 450 horsepower Mercury Racing engines. This rib, however, is designed for speed and pure adrenaline, combined with absolute comfort. Onboard, as you can see from the video below, up to 20 people can be accommodated simultaneously. The large spaces both in the bow and in the cockpit and on the stern sundecks allow everyone to have their own space when sailing with the family.
The maxi inflatables today are more and more common. Some people use them as a real cabin boat for short cruises. There are those who choose them as a substitute for a large yacht, too expensive and tiring to manage. Or as a maxi-tender for superyachts. In short, today the maxi rib is no longer a novelty and is cutting more and more part of the market. The Envy 1400 Scanner embraces this trend.
On the deck, the bow sundeck with the awning and the two aft two that become the seats of the central table (retractable) in the cockpit are well arranged and wide.
The deep V-shaped bow is made specifically for this maxi dinghy. In navigation, it allows having higher speed, without compromising stability. It also makes the cabin high and spacious below deck.
Below deck, in addition to the separate bathroom, there is also all the space a family may need to spend a weekend out. In addition, the outboard configuration also allows for storage space, where would usually be the engine room of the inboard engines.
