Sea Ray SLX-R 400e is definitely among the most innovative boats of 2020. The official announcement came last January, during the CES in Las Vegas. After the Viking 58 Convertible, we see another boat “born in the USA” that has made much talk about itself in 2020.

The choice of the electronics show was not accidental. Sea Ray took this opportunity to present a novelty destined to leave its mark in terms of innovation. Designed and developed by Brunswick, the Fathom e-power system replaces the traditional generator onboard the SLX-R 400e.
In short, the American shipyard has entrusted the energy supply for the operation of the onboard systems (air conditioning, lights, hot water, etc…) to a lithium-ion battery bank, with a capacity of 22 kWh, whose autonomy without recharging is 8 hours.
The advantages are many: from the reduction of emissions to what is probably the real goal talking about a boat that reaches up to 1350 horsepower: the increase in comfort on board. How? This system allows for reaching the absence of noise and vibrations. In terms of operation, the batteries degrade to 80 percent of their initial capacity only after 3,500 charging cycles.

This boat can also accommodate up to three Mercury 450R.
Sea Ray SLX-R 400e: electronics
For a hi-tech boat could not miss the last generation plotter. The choice led to the 16-inch Dual Digital Dash NSO evo3 Simrad and combined with the Fusion Apollo RA770 audio system with a touchscreen display for the ultimate in technologically advanced sound. The boat also comes standard with the Sea Ray Connect remote monitoring system, powered by NAUTIC-ON. This new model also features a new Mastervolt user interface for their Navico built battery management system.
Sea Ray SLX-R 400e is also a party
The layout of the Sea Ray SLX-R 400e offers seating for 22 passengers. Despite this, there is plenty of space onboard for storage and sunbathing. There is also plenty of space below deck. The four-bed cabin creates a comfortable space to escape the weather, relax, or spend the night.
