Seawolf

Italian shipyard Rossinavi launches the Seawolf X, a hybrid-electric catamaran with many innovations on the “green” propulsion front and on-board energy management.
Also sought-after are the exterior and interior designs, both signature.
A profoundly innovative catamaran that brings together new requirements for electric propulsion with control and management systems derived from artificial intelligence.
All in livable and ergonomic spaces where luxury meets environmental sustainability.
We are talking about the new Seawolf X, the 43-meter hybrid-electric catamaran that the Rossinavi shipyard launched in recent days in Viareggio, Italy, and after being delivered to the owner is now anchored near the Greek island of Tinos.
This is the first multihull project of the Italian shipyard, which for the occasion involved the Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design studio with which it had already built the 49-meter monohull “Aurora” in 2017.

Intelligent and large-range electric system

A key feature of the model is its electric propulsion declined in three “performance scenarios.”
In one-day voyages, in fact, Seawolf X can sail in all-electric mode 100 percent of the time.
On multi-day cruises, however, it can sail 90 percent of the time, and on ocean transfers it can still sail in electric mode 80 percent of the time.
Finally, when the catamaran is docked, the so-called “hibernation mode” is activated, which reduces consumption with the ability to return excess power generated at the dock or to private property.
The system can also recharge ashore in about 5 hours and provides enough energy to recharge an entire villa.
Rossinavi has also developed an onboard artificial intelligence system, called “Rossinavi AI,” to analyze the operation of the vessel, predict guests’ needs, and communicate with the crew on low-impact behaviors and eco-friendly cruises.
The AI can also monitor the battery pack to keep it in a range of 20 to 80 percent.

Design aggressive in lines and “sweet” with the environment

No less cutting-edge is the boat’s design.
Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design has created a low-slung exterior reminiscent of a sports car.
Leisure highlights include a convivial cockpit centered around a pool, a large sundeck, and a forward area that features a hidden pool and convertible home theater.
For the interiors, the work of New York-based Meyer Davis Studio stands out, bringing relaxed luxury and sustainable design to the forefront.
In fact, all furnishings are inspired by nature, particularly the sun, sea and sand.
Accommodation is for up to 10 guests in four cabins located in the hulls.
The team also integrated solar panels into the Seawolf X and addressed hull efficiency by developing “lightweight solutions,” including an anchor installation that meets weight standards and improves aesthetics.

Here’s how to get on board and experience it at sea

Finally, the Seawolf X also amazes at night thanks to a phytoplankton-inspired lighting system.
Basically, the boat absorbs sunlight during the day and uses photovoltaic technology to convert it into energy.
This energy is then stored in advanced batteries and released at night, creating a bioluminescent effect “similar to that of luminous plankton.”
“After years of study and construction, it is a source of satisfaction and pride for us this Seawolf X, the first hybrid-electric multihull boat,” said Federico Rossi, COO of Rossinavi. “The yacht features remarkable technological innovations in both energy management and propulsion technologies, marking the beginning of a new chapter in next-generation boats.
For those who want to discover Seawolf X up close and sail her, the yacht is available for charter with Cecil Wright from 380,000 euros per week.
