Sialia Yachts
, a brand committed to the green revolution in motor boating, announces the world debut of its latest creation, the Sialia 57, set to impress at the la Palma International Boat Show (April 27-30). Made of carbon and equipped with the powerful Ampros electric propulsion system, this new 17.6-meter is a sporty and versatile weekender with a 25-knot top speed.

SIALIA 57

Luxurious and environmentally friendly, the Sialia 57 is the result of the company’s dedication to research, innovation and sustainable development. In fact, the boat, created by the shipyard in collaboration with Vripack Design, features a hull designed to be both ultralight and as efficient as possible, thus facilitating the propulsion given by the pair of electric motors to the fullest while improving the comfort of life on board. In fact, the deck features large lounge and convivial areas designed for relaxing and enjoying time at sea, while below deck, there is no shortage of sleeping space for four.

Sialia 57 – Exterior

Designed with the desire to make a fast, beautiful, functional and comfortable yacht, the Salia 57 boasts a deck full of spaces dedicated to outdoor living. The lines then trace the sporty nature of the hull, and are balanced by the pillars and structures of the hard top, which of course has a sunroof.

Starting from the aft platform, this 17.6-meter welcomes immediately with a large sundeck (hiding the tender garage), and then gives way to a large cockpit, largely protected under the hard top. To access the forward spaces, on the other hand, a single step starts from the stern and runs all the way to the bow, providing a well-protected walkway per broadside. The cockpit then consists, in addition to the sofa, of a bar cabinet to port and a chaise longue to starboard, to provide an additional convivial area set back to the left of the wheelhouse, complete with a C-shaped sofa and center table.

Amidships, recessed into the cockpit of the helm station (complete with Garmin complements and served by dual seating) is the access to interior spaces. In the bow, on the other hand, an area with a sofa and seating dominates the spaces, providing a lounge-space defiladed from the rest of the exteriors.

Immediately below deck is a saloon complete with a C-shaped sofa and broadside furniture, while, forward and almost in an open-space fashion, there is a double cabin.

Finally, in the stern is the second double cabin, complete with furniture and a double bed. Attention to design and taste is evident well both above and below deck, with clean, functional accessories that mirror each other well.

Sialia 57 – Motorization and design

Made of carbon and with extensive hull efficiency studies, the hull is aimed at offering smooth and stable sailing, with minimal trim angles and a flared bow designed to keep the boat dry even in rough seas. In terms of motorization, propulsion is by a pair of Ampros electric motors, for top speeds of 25 knots and cruising speeds of 18 knots.

The world debut is scheduled for the La Palma Boat Show in late April (27-30), at Sialia Yachts and Ampros ‘ booth M16 and the 2017 dock where the first 57’ will be presented in the water.

Nobody cares about the carbon footprint, the only reason anyone would be interested it’s because you’re saving at Tongass the two things we care about is how fast does it charge and what is the range? I you left the most important information out. This was obviously intentional due to the fact this book pub has horrible range and an unreasonable amount of time to charge.
