Solaris Power 44 Open, much more than just an “open boat”. This category of boats is very aesthetically pleasing, but this new Solaris has one more card to play. The new boat coming in November 2020 is designed for good seakeeping.
The older brother, the Solaris Power 48 Open presented last year, has been awarded the European Power Boat of the Year 2020. Now the shipyard is preparing for the Cannes Yachting Festival with a new 44-foot concept. And at the show, there will also be the 48 Lobster, the new version of the 48-foot Solaris Power already presented in an Open and Flybridge version.
“These are technical boats, built with special attention to seaworthiness, designed for those who want to sail in comfort and safety in all sea conditions. – comments Giuseppe Giuliani, owner of the shipyard – “The shape of the starry bow also makes the boat very dry even navigation with rough sea.”
In summary, this is a design philosophy that focuses on navigation qualities. The background is clearly that of the sailing world. Since 1974 the Solaris shipyard has specialized in the construction of oceanic sailing yachts designed to sail in all conditions.
Now all this is declined in the world of motorboats. The interior and deck layout offers ample space and excellent comfort thanks to high-quality materials and handcrafted finishes, always in the Solaris shipyard’s tradition.
The naval architecture was designed by Brunello Acampora / Victory Design and has a series of features that offer comfort, stability, and excellent performance both in displacement and in planing gaits.
As for the Solaris 48 Power 44 Open, the particular combination of propulsion technology with the particular hull shape gives the boat unique characteristics of comfort in navigation and seaworthiness. These are the objectives that Solaris Power has set itself with this project:
– low power consumption resulting in great autonomy
– reduced CO2 emissions
– low noise
– absence of vibration
– maneuverability thanks to the versatility of the joystick
– high autonomous stability in roadsteads
– the dry boat even in navigation with sea formed thanks to the starry prow.
Solaris has also paid particular attention to comfort and livability inside and outside.
Solaris Power will be at the Cannes Motor Show from 8 to 13 September. The 48 Open and 48 Lobster will be available in Cannes for visits and sea trials by appointment. The new 44 Open will be visible on-site from November 2020.
