Special One

Designed by Dutch studio Vripack Yacht Design for the Royal Huisman shipyard, “Special One” is one of luxury yachts dedicated to deep-sea fishing with impressive dimensions, a futuristic look, and elaborate fittings in every detail.

The world of maxi yachts with exaggerated dimensions as well as luxury fittings and designer design also includes fishing boats. One of the newest additions to this particular recreational sector is called “Special One,” which at an impressive 52 meters in overall length is currently the largest fisherman in the world.

Formerly known as “Project 406” and commissioned by a wealthy deep-sea fishing enthusiast represented by Pascarelli Consulting, the Special One was designed by Dutch firm Vripack Yacht Design for the Royal Huisman shipyard. The launching of the boat took place last February 2024. In fact, it is an exceptional and unique vessel in many respects, which in addition to being equipped with the best equipment for hunting the largest predatory fish, such as swordfish and marlin, features state-of-the-art construction and special aesthetic research related to comfort in navigation.

Indestructible hull and “panoramic” tower

The “Special One” is constructed entirely of aluminum Alustar durable material that characterizes both the hull and superstructure. A choice that, despite the size of the yacht, ensures its lightness and fluidity when sailing, along with greater command efficiency when mooring.

The deck of this “big fisher” is distinguished by a particularly elongated prow and high broadside that continues down to the forward cockpit. But the real gem of this luxurious fisherman is the tower created by the overlapping in height of the 6 decks. It is designed to provide a very wide view of the water and to offer perspective angles suitable for specialized fishing. The same viewing platform is also suitable for passengers who can follow all the sports action taking place on the main deck from above.

Scheduled to be delivered next May

The Vripack Yacht Design studio also conceived the interior of the “Special One,” as yet unrevealed, but fully customized to the owner’s luxury needs. What is certain is that at night the yacht will be illuminated by innovative laser-powered exterior lights, the new trend in nautical lighting. In April the “Special One” was subjected to its first test sailings which took place in the North Sea and during which it reached speeds of over 30 knots. Delivery to the shipowner is scheduled for May 2024.
