Mercury outboards – How to buy online

Offering boaters the ability to shop online is now the norm. Starting today, Mercury Marine Italia has set up a system that allows you to buy Mercury outboards from 2.5 to 9.9 horsepower online (click here). These are the smaller outboard motors, i.e., those that do not need installation by the company.

Once the purchase is made, you can then proceed with in-store pickup at one of the participating dealers. For now, home shipping, the U.S. brand’s Italian branch informs, is carried out only “offline.” The ability to opt for home delivery directly on the site during purchase should become available soon.

Mercury outboards: how to buy online (2.5hp to 9.9hp)

The purchasing process is quite simple and quick. Just access the “2.5 – 25hp” section on the Mercury Marine Italia website. Once you have confirmed the availability of the requested outboard (visible on the site) you will be able to choose, according to your needs, the length of the stem, type of starter, etc. Once you have confirmed these details you will be recommended the nearest participating dealer to you where you can make the pickup. Now all you have to do is enter the email in the box on the screen and then proceed to payment.

Mercury outboards: why buy online

Mercury Marine Italy wants in this way to develop its digital communication with customers and its network. How? Offering the ability to purchase outboard motors directly from its website. The online offering includes all engines that do not need installation by the network. Mercury Italy uses its web platform to give customers the opportunity to choose both the outboard engine model they need and the dealer (among those participating in the initiative) based on knowledge, territorial proximity, or availability of that engine (which will be visible).
