Riviera Genova is the Ligurian company specializing in compasses, accessories and…steering wheels for boats. We rightly take it for granted, but without steering wheels we wouldn’t get very far. And then it is the part we are most in contact with when we are navigating. So why not choose a top one?
Riviera Genova steering wheels for the boat
Steering is nice, but on a boat it happens to have an uncomfortable or aesthetically unattractive steering wheel in your hands. Riviera Genova has developed a line of steering wheels that aims for the top in driving comfort and sturdiness, not to mention a more attractive design.
The material used is Megol with “leather effect” in over-molded for the handle. Its current owners especially appreciate its softness on contact, the so-called “soft-touch.” Speaking of robustness, the breeds various materials are made: stainless steel or high-strength polypropylene.
Another strong point is resistance to high temperatures-we know that when we take the steering wheel in our hands in summer, we must always be careful not to burn ourselves. This means that the steering wheel is subjected to significant “stresses” in this respect, and good heat resistance is essential.
In this case, the aesthetics are particularly well taken care of thanks to the embossing of the mold that makes it possible to have a “carbon effect,” which always gives something extra to the boat.
Where Riviera steering wheels are made for boats
Every component of a Riviera steering wheel is designed and manufactured in-house by the company itself, which has a design office with 3-D Cad stations, mold workshop, EDM machinery and grinding machines. The industrial process also makes use of lathes, milling machines and a metrology laboratory.
Molding is performed within the same production site through sister company Isolanplast, which to date has 60 years of experience in plastics processing and was one of the first family-owned Italian companies to establish a certified management system for quality control.
