Among the many innovations at Boot Düsseldorf 2024 we also uncovered a new electric inflatable boat. It is called Stream Rib 560 and is a 5.66-meter aluminum boat from the Nimbus Group. We haven’t had a chance to try it out yet, but let’s preview some details.

Stream Rib 560 – What it looks like

Simple, but suitable for going swimming with the family, especially as a first boat. In 5.6 meters there is a little bit of everything you need on this size. Let’s say it up front: there is no endothermic range, which, as always, with electrics is quite a limitation. However, given the size, it is hard to imagine doing long sailing even with a counterpart equipped with a “classic” outboard.

Also of note here is the price. Complete with motor, batteries with some accessories and German VAT Included, was displayed at the Düsseldorf Motor Show 2024 for €49,000. In Italy the brand is imported by Bella Center Italia, click here to ask for more information.

Specifically, there is a 50 horsepower (electric) motor in the most powerful version and a 25.9 Kwh battery. At about 20 knots of speed there is a range of just over 10 miles. In short, a short-range bath unless you take it “easy” on the way back. Descending, in fact, below 8-10 knots, the range goes up exponentially as the graph expressed in km/h shows.

Staying on the topic of batteries, how do they recharge? The answer is easy. With standard 220-volt outlets that are available virtually everywhere or at any rate in most harbors, many docks, and every marina . Batteries can be charged up to 2,000 times.
