Sundeck Yachts, an Italian shipyard based in Lavagna and producing in Fano and Ravenna, is already among the big names in the world of trawlers, the boat for travelling (here are the best of 2019). Sundeck’s next target is America, as evidenced by its presence at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The confirmation is the recent opening of a new office, right in the “capital of yachting”, Fort Lauderdale.
There are at least 12 types of powerboats. What do you know?
Sundeck Yachts, the trawler speaks Italian
In Europe the base is solid and the fleet of Sundeck trawlers already has 4 models: 550, 580, 43 and 700. In America, at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2019, the shipyard presents itself with the American Premier model 580. The trawler has always been a boat for those who love to sail. The Sundeck trawlers represent a modern evolution with the same principles that have made this type of boat great in the world: the ability to sail in all seas, low fuel consumption and comfort on board.
Sundeck 580 Trawler to conquer America
The 580Trawler is one of seven models in the Sundeck Yachts fleet, which also includes the 430 Open, 480 Trawler, 580 Sport, 700 Trawler, 850 Trawler and 38 meters.
The 580 is spacious thanks also to the shape of the hull, with the bow and windscreen of the deckhouse vertical. Each deck is bathed in light thanks to the large, well-arranged windows. The fly is developed to join lengthwise with the transom, as well as the bow sundeck, maximizing the size.
Thanks to the design of the hull and the side skids near the sides, the 580 is a marine boat that cuts the waves, with a speed of up to 25 knots and a range of 1.200 nm at 9.5 knots. Being a boat to travel must also be stable both in displacement navigation and while the boat is at anchor: for this reason it is equipped with gyroscopic stabilizer Seakeeper as standard.
The shipyard Sundeck Yachts
Born in 2015, this Italian shipyard is based in Lavagna and production sites in Fano and Ravenna. All fiberglass moulds are designed and manufactured with a high precision five-axis CNC milling machine owned by the shipyard. The construction, on the other hand, is the result of the work of craftsmen and decades of shipbuilding experience. The hulls, obtained by vacuum infusion of fibreglass and the main components of the boat are all built in the yard, so as to have greater quality control. With these characteristics the shipyard is able to produce about 20 boats per year.
“Since our foundation in 2015, we have delivered more than twenty boats, of our 550 models then evolved into 580”, said Angelo Casartelli, founder and CEO of Sundeck Yachts “With the expansion of the range, including the new models 430 and 700 very short in the water, there can be no better time to land in the United States!”
