Sunreef Power 49M is the giant power catamaran of the Polish shipyard. With a 90,000 liter tanker it will be able to cover about 5,000 nautical miles. Basically it could be done (as the crow flies) from Milan to Cuba, without ever stopping. It will be 49 meters long by 16.85 m wide and will be propelled by two engines with 3400 hp each. It will arrive in 2021 for a client represented by Imperial Yachts and will be one of the largest catamarans ever built.
The 25 GREATEST YACHT IN THE WORLD
Sunreef 49M, the super power catamaran
Catamarans are very popular yachts and there is no count how many multihulls are used for charter. Another “must” of charters are the superyachts, the big motorboats on which the tycoons from all over the world spend their summer. Also, Rafa Nadal, tennis legend, bought a 24-meter Sunreef last summer.Â
Design of Sunreef 49M
The Sunreef 49 M catamaran will be produced entirely in the Sunreef Yachts facilities in the city of Gdansk. This 49 M multihull is the result of a great effort of last generation naval architecture and engineering. The project is a tri-deck, i.e. it will be built on three decks incorporating outdoor living areas. There will certainly be space onboard considering the width (almost 17 meters) of this catamaran. Onboard there will be space in the cabin for up to 10 guests. The yacht will be managed by 17 crew members.
As mentioned earlier, the Sunreef 49 M’s low drag and efficiency provided by the Sunreef 49 M’s dual hull design will provide a range of over 5000 nautical miles with 90,000 l of fuel capacity. Powered by two 3400 HP engines, this super catamaran will accommodate up to three tenders and a huge selection of water toys.
