Do you know what trends are coming out of the most “clicked” boats on our channels? They are the ones going on in the market right now, and we tell you about them.

1. Long live classic boats

For example, we have noticed how boats from the 1980s or 1990s, and more generally the whole so-called “retro” style are capable of fascination, but above all they excite across the board. If we are fans of power boats and look at an old Magnum we will hardly hear “it looks like an iron” or worse.

Has the idea of beauty been lost along the way in design? Probably not, but one has to take into account the many, new needs and the greater demand for comfort and space required today. We have certainly noticed, however, how there is a kind of rediscovery of classics such as lobsters or speedboats. One cannot remain indifferent to the new Tullio Abbate.

Newcomers include the Epica 33, an ambitious Italian project that is already reaping results in terms of sales as well.

2. Going slow is good

Then there is the “case” of the summer: Costiera CY 39, a lobster-style natant that shows us that you don’t have to build missiles to please. On the contrary, the philosophy of this brand, also all-Italian, is to go slow, but comfortable and tasteful. And it seems to be working.

3. XL vessels

From here we connect to another trend, or rather, abundance of novelties in this review: we are talking about XL boats, boats on the border of 10 meters in homologation, but often touching 11 and even 12 meters in length overall. This also applies to inflatable boats where there is even a specimen that we have called a “maxi-rib boat” given the absolutely remarkable space it makes available. Yet it does not need registration. Of a nice handle, on the other hand, yes, if you want to push it since you can equip it up to 800 horsepower.

4. All crazy about “house boats”

Among your favorites, then, we noticed that there are several new ones among what we call “houseboats.” Whether monohulls or multihulls, there are many models around 14 meters that have all the right features for long cruises. For example?

5. Make way for catamarans (including watercraft).

On this issue, it really has to be said, a lot of readers have come out mad about the new motor catamarans. There are many distinctions to be made. Let’s start at the bottom. The most “pop” is the TH33 catamaran, a 10-meter outboard craft that declines on very interesting dimensions to the full potential of the latest generation of motor cat boats. There always remains a bit of a price hurdle, but the possibilities it offers are definitely boat-sized over 10 meters.

6. Superyacht owner’s cabins… On a 15-meter

Apart from this case, catamaran designers today have virtually no limits and are able to create 15-meter boats with 8-meter full-beam owner’s cabins, like the Omaya 50, or with private access to the forward cockpit, as on the Yot 53.
In short, if you want a cabin like on a superyacht, but your budget is “limited,” take a look at the multihulls in this hit parade: there is something for every taste and budget.

7. It’s always walkaround-mania

Above 15 meters, then, there is always much success and buzz for walkarounds. We also talked about them in issue No. 44 (from page 190), it is the Mediterranean boat par excellence, the symbol of summer for several years now in the most exclusive bays of our sea, but also of the world. By now there is something for all tastes and they can also be “cruising” like the new De Antonio Yachts D60, an absolute novelty of the Spanish brand that wanted to launch a new flagship, always outboard, on dimensions never seen before. The power is also monstrous with up to 2,400 installable horsepower.

8. Lobster, a timeless boat

While this is an example of modern and minimal, there are also those who always aim for classic lines. In this sense, a separate discourse deserves Solaris Power’s latest, the 60 Coupe, which harkens back to the lobsters in an obvious way, as does the rest of the range for that matter, but is distinguished by first-class marine, sailing and on-board comfort qualities.

9. Sustainability, the real thing

Another trend, then, that our readers have rewarded is that concerning those models that are sustainable are not “in facade,” but in practice. Think, for example, of the Azimut Seadeck 6, which is featured in its Sundeck version. It is a yacht that from material choices to propulsion is all designed to optimize and contain consumption.

10. The zero-emission boat: it can be done!

In this sense, we finally see live an “extreme” like the Silent 80, the solar-electric catamaran from Silent Yachts, a shipyard that makes its models in Italy, in Fano. This vessel is at the forefront of construction and an example of the potential of new technologies available today.
