Theorem 20 with Suzuki DF40 Evo
Theorem 20 with Suzuki DF40 Evo

The Suzuki DF40A EVO is the new license-free that the Japanese manufacturer that decided to launch at the Genoa Boat Show at a really aggressive price. We tested it on a Teorema 20 from Kolmarine-a combination that may be ideal for approaching the world of boating…

It may not be very elegant, but this time we want to start right at the price: 4,500 euros. Suzuki has decided to launch its license-free 40 HP at the Genoa Boat Show in a new livery in Black, Super Cool White and Nebular Black Stealth Line at the lowest price around (Stealth takes 200 euros more), also available with zero-rate financing.

The block is the well-known and super-reliable DOHC 941 cc, 3-cylinder inline 12-valve block launched in 1998, then upgraded over the years (and sold in 20,000 units in Italy alone) and now arrived at its evolution in the EVO version.

Coupled with the small and functional Kolmarine’s Teorema 20, a vessel available in both Open and Sundeck versions at 5.9 meters long by 2.20 meters long, is offered at 20,000 euros including VAT as a promotion for the Genoa Boat Show. In other words, the easiest (and cheapest) way to get a brand new boat for going to sea.

Outside of promotions for the Genoa Boat Show, the list price of the Teorema 20 is 14,750 + Vat. If you wanted it today, the final price, including VAT, accessories and Suzuki DF40 Evo is 24,500 euros.

Performance? In our test, on a day with some annoying swell, with three of us aboard, we touched 22 knots and cruised at 17/18, consuming half a liter of gasoline per mile.
