Scanstrut launches Connect, a new family of solutions designed to manage water, power and connections on board in a more practical and robust way. The range debuts with an accessory destined to quickly become a “must have” for many boats: the SC-V-W1 Cold Water Outlet, a quick-access water point that “disappears” when not needed.
Scanstrut’s new accessory is basically a kit to create a smart water point, designed to provide immediate access to fresh water for washing the cockpit, rinsing fishing or diving gear, or taking a quick shower after a swim. The system includes a Quick-Connect connection, a 10-foot coiled hose, and a stainless steel hand shower with dual jets (Jet and Shower), so you can switch in an instant from a powerful jet for cleaning to a softer flow for rinsing.
When you want to use the hand shower, simply connect the hose via the new quick coupler, and when you no longer need the water, simply detach (just as simply) the hose and close the flap covering the connector.
The new SC-V-W1 was created to integrate into the broader Scanstrut ecosystem, which already covers brackets, fairleads, power supply, and electronic equipment protection, and can be installed not only aboard cruising and fishing boats, but also on motorhomes and off-road vehicles, wherever a robust and reliable water point is needed. The goal is to propose a neat and consistent system for boatyards and boat owners who want to make outdoor spaces more livable without invasive intervention.
According to the company, the product responds to a clear demand from OEM shipyards and shipowners who were looking for a safe, durable and easy-to-use water connection, in line with Scanstrut’s traditional focus on quality and ease of installation. The SC-V-W1 Cold Water Outlet is already available in the Scanstrut Marine collection, within the new Connect category, and is designed to become part of a package of accessories ready for life on the dock, roadstead or “off road.”
