Sanlorenzo SX100 (30m) is the new luxury crossover yacht
With the recent boat shows, we finally got to see some of the new products for the coming season live, and undoubtedly among them is the
Sanlorenzo SX100
, the shipyard’s new crossover superyacht. Long 30.53 meters and capable of accommodating up to 8 people, plus 5 crew members, the brand’s new design sits halfway between the 88 and 112 in the same range, models with which it shares some design features, in fact bearing the signature of Zuccon International Project e Piero Lissoni, for exterior and interior design, respectively.
Exterior
Looking at the deck plan, Sanlorenzo’s new 100-footer immediately evinces its desire to connect each space with its surroundings, as underscored by the large windows surrounding the salon and the facilities on the upper deck. Starting from the stern, however, one immediately notices that there is no shortage of outlets to the sea even on the lower deck, where a full-beam window separates (and at the same time unites) the interior and exterior spaces, overlooking a particularly large aft saloon (beach club) beach area, capable of further expansion thanks to the folding broadside, which is particularly wide and, when lowered, can offer further sea views to the lower saloon windows.Interesting, here, is the choice to have portions of the broadside, but not the entire broadside, to abate, thus leaving two hollow arches to draw the profile of the hull.
A clever solution that, in addition to providing a notable aesthetic element, allows one of the two arches to actually be a crane for the eventual tender. Also in the beach area, a hydraulic plank can be lowered into the water, creating an “underwater terrace” to accompany the entry and exit from the sea.
From this first area, a staircase leads immediately to the cockpit, where an oval island sofa faces both aft and the fully glazed structure that leads to the main salon. Along both sides a walkway then leads to the forward lounge, complete with sundeck, sofas, and a table that can be lowered to make a second forward sundeck. An area dedicated to outdoor conviviality and relaxation, a space also overlooked by the owner’s cabin, which is strong with a tinted glass that ensures privacy.
Finally, the outdoor spaces are concluded by a sea-facing terrace carved out on the upper deck, just aft of the bridge deck.

Sanlorenzo SX100 – Interior
Starting on the lower deck, immediately accessible through the beach area, the new SX100 immediately welcomes with a large lounge, the beach club, furnished with sofas, lounge areas, and a mobile bar. Of course, as always, everything is customizable by the owner. Just beyond, amidships, are a day bath and stairs to the main deck, while, toward the bow, a central corridor leads to the two double guest cabins and the forward VIP cabin.
Instead, on the main deck, accessible from both the cockpit and the lower deck, a large aft living area comes to life, a salon overlooking the sea at 270 degrees, which can be furnished according to specific owner tastes and needs. Just beyond, proceeding toward the bow, a staircase leads to the upper deck, while a crew area finds space to the right. In the bow, on the other hand, is a large master cabin, complete with a double bed, lounge area, private bathroom and direct access to the deck. Optionally, however, this can be placed on the lower deck, gaining a dining area here.
Also from the main deck, as well as from the lower deck, is access to the galley, complete with every necessary appliance and a food elevator that moves across the decks. From here there is also access to the crew quarters, complete with a living area and three cabins, a single for the captain and two double bunk cabins for the crew, all complete with private toilet rooms.
Finally, the upper deck, the fly, is home to the wheelhouse, a dining area and access to the outdoor lounge terrace.Everything from the lower deck to the fly is completely bathed in natural light thanks to the many windows and clever solutions, which give light up to the usually more neglected areas, such as crew quarters or lower cabins.
Performance and Propulsion
The Sanlorenzo SX100 is powered by four Volvo IPS 3 1050 D13 B engines of 800 horsepower each, for maximum speeds of 23 knots. The engine room, with the engine rooms, generators, watermaker etc, is located in the aft area, below the beach area, accessible by a concealed wall hatch in the broadside.
