Maxi Dolphin introduces a new 48-foot Tender designed by Nauta

Maxi Dolphin is known as the manufacturer of some among the most exclusive boats over the last 20 years. At the cutting edge of style and design, after the success of the MD51, offered in 7 models, and the launch of the MD53 last year, the boatyard gets back to the world of motorboats with the same philosophy and a new 48- foot tender designed by Nauta Yacht. The boat, whose launch is scheduled to take place next June after little more than 5 months of work, is the re- sult of an intense work of the new boatyard led by Luca Botter. The idea behind the Tender 48 project is a fast motorboat as support and connection for a sailing su- peryacht; however, the boat is also a comfortable hi- gh-performance cruiser.

14.62 meters long, 4.38 meters wide, the new creation is powered by twin Cummis 600hp engines with twin Rolls Royce Kameva waterjets which deliver a top speed of 38 knots. The exterior design of the new Tender 48 is inspired by some elements commonly found on board work boats: the boat indeed looks like a “patrol boat” yet distinguished by elegant lines which harmoniously com- bine with the essence of an extremely seaworthy, handyboat. More speci cally, the deckhouse features a reverse-inclined windscreen while the rubbing strake provides additional protection.
The cockpit has been designed for enjoying the sea in all weather conditions, both when sailing and when at the anchor; it features two large stern sun decks and two adjoining, symmetrically arranged living spaces in the hard-top protected area stretching around some small tables which, in turn, can be lowered to create additional sun-protected sun pads.

This area is directly connected to the ef cient modern pilot station, whose forward facing glazing surfaces offer excellent visibility even case of night-time navigation. Interiors include a master cabin, a sailor/guest cabin and a galley. Minimal elegant style is enhanced by the use of distinctive materials, including resin-bonded laminated linen for planking and ceilings, and for kitchen and bath tops. A décor which perfectly recalls the interior design of the Tender 48’ s mother-boat.

The Nauta Tender 48’ becomes a new concept of boat, from mega yachts tender to a comfortable and fast cruising boat. The Maxi Dolphin shipyard also allows a high level of customization and guarantees attention to details.
