DEEP-SEA FISHING. THE CONVERTIBLE.

The fisherman Convertible originated in the U.S., but it is also part of the Australian tradition. It is called a “convertible” because on the outside it is fitted out in a very technical way for deep-sea fishing (except in some cases having a dinette on the fly), while on the inside it is a masterpiece of habitability and luxury, especially in the living area, where there is no wheelhouse, with a few exceptions. The traditional Convertible, in fact, has no windshield, but some keep it anyway to get more light on board.

THE CENTER CONSOLE

It is a popular type of fisher, partly because it has a very wide size range and is equipped with outboard motors. It is characterized by its deep cockpit and centrally located helm console (hence the name), hence the walkaround conformation of the deck, to move smoothly around the perimeter of the boat with the fish on the line. Some have a sofa on the bow triangle; otherwise, space is totally unobstructed because lockers and tanks are flush with the dunnage and the seats fold down.

DEEP-SEA FISHING. THE WALKAROUND

It is the middle ground between the Convertible and the Center Console, because on the outside it has the same technical features for deep-sea fishing and, like the others, can mount the tuna tower on the canopy, while on the inside it has a cabin, which certainly is not at the level of the fly models, but is certainly very cozy and complete with at least two double beds, separate bathroom, galley and dinette. The cockpit is on two levels, of which the upper one under the hardtop can have a dinette or sofa. It can mount outboard or inboard engines with shaftline transmissions.
