Here comes Palm Beach’s new GT RS range consisting of the GT50 RS, GT60 RS and flagship GT70 RS models. Here are the yard’s new powerboats and what’s new about them. Following the announcement of the Palm Beach 85 and the Palm Beach 107 in 2024 (both currently sold and in production), the new GTRS series is ready to win over boaters with its eye-catching design, exhilarating performance, and dynamic agility.
Palm Beach RS
The lobster is among the timeless boats par excellence from a design point of view. Today, however, we see how this type of hull is evolving to meet an increasingly “outboard-centric” market, but not only. Performance is at the center, and crucial to this process is the availability of “giant” engines such as those from Mercury and Mercury Racing, but also Volvo Penta’s IPS. Thus, to the classic lines and seaworthiness typical of these units, speed is now added.
The GT RS range consists of three models:
- Palm Beach GT50 RS features a four-engine 500-horsepower V8 from Mercury Racing.
- Palm Beach GT60 RS will have a quad outboard 600-horsepower V12
- Palm Beach GT70 RS will reach exhilarating speeds with a 1,000-horsepower Volvo Penta triple with IPS 1350s.
What hulls do these boats have? V-Warp technology, used on all Palm Beach Motor Yacht models, focuses on hull lines with a sharp bow and minimal deadrise on the transom. On the other hand, materials such as fiberglass, infused, are used together with carbon fiber, particularly on the superstructure, so as to create strong boats with a lower center of gravity. All this contributes to a major improvement in fuel consumption regardless of which propulsion package is chosen on board.
