Joker Boat continues its process of modernizing the shipyard’s historic inflatable boats, given a modern makeover. This time we talk about the Joker Clubman 22, which, after debuting in the 1990s, has become one of the best-selling models ever. This 6.50-meter dinghy has not remained the same over the years, but has undergone changes to adapt to changing needs. A new version officially arrives today: the new Clubman 22 Plus from Joker Boat. The model will be premiered at the Genoa 2021 motor show.
The Joker Clubman 22 Plus was created to re-energize a dinghy that has made Joker history. This new model brings even more space on board with two large sunbathing areas fore and aft. Designed as an inflatable boat for the family to go swimming, in 7 meters it provides plenty of space to give all guests on board maximum comfort. A canopy is also available for shelter during hot hours while the stern is set up with a table.
The hull of the Clubman 22 Plus Joker has been redesigned to give comfort and performance when sailing. The deck has also been redesigned to come closer with the other models in the Clubman range, with which it shares the principles of comfort and safety.
Starting from the stern, the wider width of the boat allowed for two large swim platforms complete with swim ladder and a locker for ‘housing ropes or other materials. The U-shaped dinette, as on the larger models, CB28, CB30 and CB35 features a teak table, which is removable and convertible into a sundeck that occupies the entire area giving more people a way to be comfortable lying down. Thanks to the fold-down backrest of the driver’s seat, you get an extra seat around the table. In the middle of the boat is the console with wheelhouse, which has a recessed cushion in the bow for safe sitting even while sailing. At the side of the console it is possible to insert the refrigerator.
There are numerous lockers on board in the sunbathing areas and under the driver’s seat for stowing what we need on board.Standard equipment includes a teak table, full cushions including aft add-on and suspensions; while options include the possibility of installing an electric winch in the hull and a refrigerator in the console, a rollbar awning or resting on the stern.
