The March/April issue of Motor Boats 2025 is on newsstands and digital.“Just motor boats, nothing but motor boats.” That’s how this magazine presented itself 35 years ago in its first issue. It was 1990. Today we want to celebrate the 35-year anniversary of Motor Boats with you. We are fortunate to be able to share this historic milestone with 1,500,000 motor boating enthusiasts who follow us steadily through this newspaper, our website, social media, and newsletters. We are setting the table for this 35th birthday spread, which will last a full year, right now. Then, you will all be invited.
We will not reveal in advance what the celebration will be like. We are still working on it. There will be a real Hall of Fame of the best of motor boating, a valuable narrative for the use of those who lived through this period. But also a useful compendium for younger people. We do not anticipate anything else; you will see the rest unfold as you go along, month by month, day by day. Let the party begin!
Designer, pilot, innovator Fabio Buzzi with his FB Design marked more than 50 years of powerboat history. A legacy that continues to this day. From page 35

In short, a “van” philosophy on the water, comfortable hulls to stay at sea as much as possible. There are more and less expensive models, of course. We tell you about five houseboats around 40 feet (10 to 16 meters) for all tastes and budgets. From page 46

As long as it has an engine
Having a boat is not always a logical matter. In fact, it almost never is. Here, Carlo Brevini, class of ’88, manager at Garmin, tells us a story that transcends simple passion, encroaching on creativity, the art of making do and, why not, patience. From page 78

Lilybaeum Lipari 31
To stand out and sail well, you don’t need a superyacht. All you need is an all-Italian vessel, just like this one below, Lilybaeum’s new addition for 2025. From page 92
All aboard!
Come the warm season, it’s time for all “sealovers” to bring their boats out of winter hibernation. Besides careening, here is an overview of what every boat owner should pay attention to. We asked Luigi Gallerani, who has lived on the boat for three years, for some advice. From page 100

The year 2026 is one of novelty and a return to the past. Or rather, if last year saw us celebrating thirty-five years of the magazine’s history, this year is instead dedicated to celebrating the History of Boating, and
No, it is not a sailboat, otherwise it would be too easy. As easy as an Atlantic Ocean crossing can be. We have told you about many of them, from the craziest and most bizarre to the most organized and
