In a world where knowing the price of a boat is becoming increasingly difficult, between “private treaty” or “price on demand,” Saxdor makes a point of boasting about it. The Scandinavian yard has made “pop” prices one of its trademarks, making these hulls very popular in the Mediterranean. It is no coincidence that this is the very first information found on the model’s website: Saxdor 205, from €28,800 + VAT.
FAQ Boating License for 16 years.
Saxdor 205
It is certainly not the only shipyard to do so, but it is one of the few to give a reference price of the complete package, outside of trade shows. And what a package! We are not talking about a small engine just to give a coquette price, but a Mercury 115 hp, making this boat also perfect in view of the boating license. This is respectable power given the weight and size, allowing it to easily exceed 30 knots while maintaining low fuel consumption. Merit not only to the lightness of the hull, made of vacuum-infused GRP, but also to the hull, with a deep V (21° deadrise) and double step, as in all the big sisters of the Saxdor range. While we have become accustomed to this feature by now, it is still a rarity on a boat of only 6 meters.
The compact and sporty 6-meter
About the size: 5.94 m, a smart size that allows you to stay within the limits of Social Boating and access the expected future benefits, but above all exploitable down to the last centimeter. A truly non-trivial quality, which is rarely seen even on far more generous dimensions, and which in small spaces becomes even more important. In fact, the transom is made up of a transparent barrier, which not only gives the impression of more space, but, when opened, connects the beach and cockpit into a single environment, on the same deck level, seamlessly, to exploit every single inch of this boat. The cockpit can be configured into 4 different layouts by default, depending on the type of use.
The bow is narrow and sharp, to increase performance while keeping power low, but the two settees can still be converted into a small sunpad that can be repaired with a tent. In short, a smart, fast, versatile boat…and with a very attractive price!
