Pilothouse cabin, high freeboard, sleek lines and all the air of a boat that knows its way around seaworthiness. The new Targa 41 is a bit of that, a hull that can inspire confidence even at a glance. Aesthetics aside, however, Targa’s newcomer is also capable of offering comfortable volumes on 13.7 meters in length, including five berths in the two cabins below deck. And, not to be outdone, performance also comes into its own: up to 42 knots of top speed and 35 of cruise. The new version made its debut at Boot Düsseldorf 2024.

Targa 41

Measuring 13.7 meters in length overall with a 4-meter maximum beam, the new Targa 41 is a hull designed to best combine the two pivotal elements of any enjoyable sailing, comfort and seaworthiness. To this the shipyard adds performance, flybridge with sofa and Scandinavian-quality design.

Exterior

The upper flybridge allows for a second open wheelhouse. A winning formula for an all-weather, especially if the fly, as here, also offers a sundeck sofa.

On the bridge deck, one is greeted by the aft swim platform, which is separated from the cockpit to provide greater safety when sailing. Just in the cockpit, however, two broadside settees face each other, leaving the central space clear, from which to proceed freely on the fly, thanks to the ladder provided; in the bow, through one or the other protected walkway; or in the cabin, from the sliding doors.

Targa 41 – Interior

Just looking at the interior, as soon as you enter, the salon on the main deck welcomes you with a large C-shaped sofa with a central table, an ideal space both for conviviality and as a dining area. Here, opposite, the kitchen comes to life, complete with the necessary appliances for life on board. Just behind the windshield, however, on the starboard side is the wheelhouse, served by a single ergonomic armchair, while, on the port side, two seats provide additional forward-facing seats.

On the lower deck, however, is the sleeping area, consisting of a large forward master cabin, lit from above by two skylights cut into the deckhouse and complete with shower facilities. In the middle of the boat, on the other hand, there is a second large cabin, which is bright and in turn equipped with a double bed, private bathroom and an additional bed.

Performance and motorization

Coming, finally, to the performance aspects, the new Targa includes two distinct engine options, in both cases served by a 1,500-liter fuel tank. In the former case, however, with D6-440 pair, the maximum speed will be 37 knots, with however solid 32 knots cruising. If the two IPS 650, 960-hp units were installed instead, the speed would instead go to peaks of 42 knots, with about 35 knots as the cruising speed.
