In motor boating there are names that have ascended to iconic status. One of these is Renato “Sonny” Levi, the legend of offshore hulls, the master of fast boats who, among many others, also designed Agnelli’s legendary G50. Of course, however, Levi also signed several production boats and, among them, the Laver Super Mustang (10.8 m), a 40-knot, 6-berthfast commuter now
for sale on the Motor Boats Used Boat Market.

Flea Market – Laver Super Mustang

Designed by “Renato Sonny” Levi (hull and water lines), Scarpa and F. Harrauer (design), the Laver Super Mustang is a 1980s fast commuter, that is, a boat designed to be comfortable and super-fast, capable of getting its guests from A to B in zero time, offering maximum comfort and performance.

The boat

The Laver Super Mustang was born in 1980 and was produced in a dozen or so examples, soon becoming a cutting-edge design for the historical context to which it belongs. The boat is built by Laver, a shipyard established in 1978 (later acquired by Salpa in the 1990s) for which Levi was the main hull designer, a detail that, combined with great build quality, brought the brand to fame, in Italy as well as overseas, already in the very early 1980s.

The Super Mustang for sale, one of the few still in circulation, dates from 1982 and is 10.80 meters long overall and 3.04 m at maximum beam and sleeps 6. In terms of propulsion, it mounts a pair of Volvo tamd engines of 240 horsepower each and set drive transmission with surface propellers. The owner points out that the boat needs a refit.
