Neptvn Pro 400 - A riva

Neptvn is an Italian company that has only one inflatable boat model in production so far. It is the Neptvn Pro 400 fishing dinghy (4 x 1.20 m), designed to be comfortable and practical, but most importantly, to offer excellent performance and long service life. The special feature of this inflatable boat is that it can be deflated and disassembled by storing it in a bag that fits comfortably in the trunk of a car. When closed it measures just 85 x 65 x 45 cm.

The Neptvn Pro 400 is a sturdy and versatile inflatable boat that stands out for its stability, comfort, and carrying capacity. In addition, the customization options offered by Neptvn allow models to be made to suit different needs and preferences, from the casual angler to the seasoned professional.

What the hull and dunnage look like

Neptvn boats are made of the highest quality materials, carefully selected to ensure maximum resistance to wear and tear and the elements. The PVC used is German, is called Valmex (0.9 mm and 1100 dtex) and is manufactured by Mehler Texnologies. It is a material renowned for its strength and ability to withstand even demanding conditions of use. Individual parts are heat-welded, and several layers of PVC are mixed with a high-strength polyester base fabric to resist abrasion, sun, high temperatures, and rain.

Dropstitch technology was used for the dunnage, which is the technology used on most inflatable SUPs and toys to create a flat surface for rigidity and stability. The floor can be removed and inserted inside the hull in seconds, but you can also choose to leave it on board at all times. The maximum load is 400 kg.

The tubulars (40-17 cm) are divided into 3 air chambers, two at the stern and one at the bow, and associated C7 valves to inflate (in less than 4 minutes) and deflate (in less than 2 minutes) the boat. As many as 14 stainless steel D-rings are welded to the water-repellent, non-slip tubulars all around the boat to provide attachment and anchor points. Also attached to the hull are 7 reinforced handles, which are useful for clinging in navigation and moving the boat with ease. Their conical shape is virtually unsinkable, plus the shape that tapers gradually toward the bow allows the hull to be extremely aerodynamic and exceed 20 knots even with a small 10-horsepower outboard (the maximum power that can be installed).

Not only for fishing

The Neptvn Pro 400 dinghy is designed for fishing, and is very practical especially in inland waters: you drive up, take the dinghy out of the trunk, inflate it, and you are ready to sail. The Neptvn barque, however, is extremely versatile and can be used for a variety of purposes besides fishing. It is perfect as a tender, for activities such as diving, exploring coastlines and coves, or simply enjoying a day at sea with friends and family.

Accessories

What makes this boat unique and modular are the accessories that can be installed on board. On the Neptvn 400 Pro there are some standard options such as the
leaning post
amidships and a
casting structure
at the stern. The first is an aluminum seat with water-repellent padding and as many as 6 rod holders welded to the sides. The second is a non-slip aluminum flat surface, which allows for 2 additional inclined rod holders and standing for fishing. Another aluminum surface can also be chosen to be installed in the bow, to which a trolling motor can be attached.

As accessories included we have:

  • HP1 pump for hand inflation
  • repair kit with Valmex PVC patches and key for C7 valves
  • water-repellent carrying bag
  • modular paddle
  • leaning post
  • casting structure
