Astondoa seized the Genoa Boat Show to present its new creation with a world premiere, thus introducing its brand new 24.46-meter, yacht designed-as its launch slogan announces-to be fully experienced. Crossover in look and in fact, the new Astondoa Ax8 will be one of the great new yachts for the coming season, strong on a layout that aims to maximize both indoor living and the pleasure of spending time outdoors. Spacious lounge areas and large windows will thus characterize the design, offering owners a boat capable of providing a comfortable cruising experience that is immersed in its surroundings.

Astondoa Ax8 – Exterior

Starting from the glance, the new Ax8 presents itself with crossover lines such as those to which we are now accustomed, but making its most obvious characteristics its own, creating a sleek design that knows how to balance a particularly tall dead work through both the windows that cut its sides, and through the design of the two decks, projected forward in the glides, which are in turn balanced by the inverted momentum of the fly’s windshield.

Coming to the exterior volumes, immediately welcoming is a large aft beach area, strong with a beam of more than 6 meters and protected by high walls. There is no shortage here of a submersible platform, which gives this area additional beach club functionality, thus convertible into a sunken terrace (clearly visible in the second image). One step higher the furnished cockpit comes to life, protected by the aft overhang of the fly just above. On the fly, abaft a glazed area, a second furnished lounge area comes to life, equipped as a sunbathing area and usable as a large elevated terrace overlooking the sea.

Back in the cockpit, however, two walkways lead to an additional lounge carved out of the forward spaces, complete with a large sofa facing forward and served by a central table. Another sofa concludes this space, offering the possibility of also using it as a sundeck.

Astondoa Ax8 – Interior

In terms of interior spaces, Astondoa has created here a model capable of making the most of natural light by making the most of the large windows surrounding the volumes of the main deck and the enclosed portion on the second deck, where we find the bridge deck and a lounge area. On the main deck, however, a large salon complete with a furnished first convivial space and a large central chill-out area and a kitchen integrated with the dining room immediately finds space.

Below deck, however, four guest cabins plus two additional crew cabins find space. Thus, a large, full-beam VIP cabin is located aft, mirrored forward in a large guest cabin. Instead, two additional double cabins take their place between them, smaller in size but, like the previous ones, equipped with en suite bathrooms.

On the propulsion front, the new Ax8 will be powered by IPS 1350 Volvo Penta and will rely on a total capacity of about 7100 liters of embarkable fuel. Freshwater tanks, on the other hand, have a capacity of about 1,500 liters.
