Saxdor 400 GTO

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum recently purchased a
Saxdor 400 GTO
(12.4 meters), a boat from the Finnish shipyard that stands out for its competitive prices. This model, more affordable than the market average, opens the doors of motor boating to a wider audience, making the dream of owning a boat within the reach of many. That’s what the boat is.

The below-average price

The “beauty” is that the Sheikh’s boat-the Crown Prince of Dubai-is being sold (source: saxdoryachts.com) at a very competitive starting price compared to the market average. We are talking about €233,000(with 2 300-horsepower Mercury V8s) to which must be added VAT, other taxes, transportation and applicable operating expenses. In short, definitely a challenging figure, but well below what we are used to seeing in recent years.

What boat is the Saxdor 400 GTO

The boat of choice for Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the Saxdor 400 GTO that debuted in 2023. This 12-meter cabin cruiser is designed to cater to the public who want a boat that is livable in both interior and exterior spaces (thanks to some innovative solutions) and suitable for year-round sea life.

The exterior spaces can “gain” a lot of space thanks to the side folding bulwarks, which allow for more living space in the aft cockpit. Here we find a large central sundeck leaning against the settee that serves the coffee table, in the area covered by the hard top. Forward of the command post is a second lounging area-with a small table and settees-which is accessed from the port side walkway.

All of this, however, without sacrificing sporty performance, as the Saxdor 400 GTO is capable of reaching 48 knots of speed thanks to the 800 total horsepower maximum engine (optional, the standard version provides 300 hp torque each for a maximum speed of about 40 knots).

The Saxdor 400 GT boasts a well-designed interior that offers excellent roominess and above-class comfort for up to four adults. The forward master stateroom, equipped with a double bed and private bathroom with shower and toilet, ensures regal sleeps and complete relaxation. A second double cabin and a third smaller cabin for children can be made in the middle of the boat.
