Lobsters, heirs of lobster boats, are boats that we classify in our imagination as classic. The difficulty, however, is not to make these hulls look out of time, especially when a new one debuts on the market. The new Zeelander 6 from the Zeelander shipyard in Groot-Ammers, Holland, seems not to suffer from these kinds of problems.
Zeelander 6
With an overall length of 17 meters (55.7 feet) can be powered by various Volvo Penta solutions ranging from IPS 950 up to 1,350. Solutions, these, which not only provide good propulsive thrust (up to 40 knots) and low fuel consumption, but also bring with them market-leading ride comfort and maneuverability. Of course, much in this regard also depends on the hull. Aboard the Zeelander 6, by Motor Boats, no testing has been conducted, so for these conclusions we refer to the typical characteristics have Volvo Penta IPSs.
Zeelander 6 – Outsiders
This Zeelander yacht is a new version that was created within Zeelander’s rebranding project. The goal? Transfer to the typical classic lobster look a more modern and appealing look. The first treat on this yacht, which immediately catches the eye, is the color. Why this particular livery? Simple, it matches the Ferrari SuperFast 812 of the owner of this hull.
The deck plan includes a large opening platform at the stern and immediately behind it an oval convial area for dining and relaxing moments in contact with the water. Further inward, under the hard-top, another, more sheltered convivial area. On the dashboard we find a new double-curved windshield without pillars for the widest possible view.

Below deck, on the other hand, they opted to enhance the aesthetics and elegance of the hull with natural leather finishes capable of satisfying both the sight and touch. In total, there are six beds on board.
