Cruising motor boats

Over the past month we have had the opportunity to try (among other trials) three powerboats between 38 and 40 feet. For the less practical we are between 12 and 13 feet. These are already “important” boats that, certainly, require a non-trivial budget. At the same time, however, these can also be used for longer cruises or as “homes on the water.” We are talking about a Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Coupe, a Girbau 38 (a kind of gozzo, but Spanish) and the Aquador 400 HT. Of each we did the sea test, told you about the exterior and interior, and finally revealed the prices. Will you come on board with us?

Cruisers for summer : Girbau 38

It is our own Luca Sordelli who sacrificed to go to Palma de Mallorca in May to try this 12-meter boat. Spring days, sunshine and beautiful water as well. In spite of the distractions, however, he managed to stay on the piece and tell the main features of this hull in full detail. Girbau is a young yard based in Cap de Creus, Costa Brava, not far from Barcelona, and its production is strictly handcrafted. It has four models from 27 “to 38” in length on its list. In Palma de Mallorca, we tried out its very flagship. Why is Girbau 38 interesting? All the details about the boat: speed, consumption and prices in the VIDEO.

Aquador 400 HT

Closed boat equals little outdoor livability. Or maybe not. This Scandinavian 12-meter is an ideal craft for the Mediterranean. One only has to look at the giant aft platform to see that. But it is also suitable for the cold season, perhaps for a lunch boat on sunny days when the north wind is blowing hard. The salon is, in fact, completely foldable. Let us, however, stay tuned for a moment longer to summer and the warm season, since it has not yet begun. An Aquador 400 can be a great ally for heading out on a family cruise. All with good build quality and finish, but without having excessive prices or consumption. How is this possible? Our Stefano Monfroni explains it to you in the video.

Cruisers for summer: Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Coupe

We tested the Coupe version of the Merry Fisher 1295, flagship of Jeanneau’s eponymous range. A boat that, despite its name, is definitely more of an all-around cruiser than a fishing boat. A true home on the water for small and medium cruising: let’s see its details (how it sails, price and review) in the video made by Stefano Monfroni.
