In the world of outboard engines that is increasingly focused on the high-end, a new small 8-horsepower outboard makes its appearance. It is the Tohatsu MFS8 Mega, a new model from the Japanese manufacturer that looks like a major step up from previous models.

Let’s see what’s new about this small outboard that brings several improvements to engine that as a size is quite popular especially among tenders. With this new 8-horsepower engine, already available in Italy through the official Tohatsu network, the brand aims to offer something new among the “small” ones. One of the distinctive features of the new MFS8 Mega is the torque, with a 20% increase over previous models, with faster and more responsive acceleration, ensuring a prompt response even in the most demanding situations.

The strengths of the new 8-horsepower Tohatsu

Weighing only 38.5 kg, the MFS8 Mega is the lightest engine in its 200 cc displacement class. This feature makes it particularly maneuverable and easy to transport, offering ideal versatility for small and medium-sized boats. The electronic fuel injection (EFI) system also allows the MFS8 Mega to have very high efficiency, with a 35 percent reduction in fuel consumption compared to previous models.
