The universe of large RIBs is broadened with these three new 12 to 15 metre models, which interpret the day boat concept for day trips, but are also ideal for a comfortable mid-course cruise for a couple. This does not rule out their application as tenders for superyachts.

Sacs Strider 15
There are many new features on this maxi RIB, copied by many. The line and aesthetics of the Sacs are even more contemporary and attractive after the work of nautical archistar Christian Grande. There’s a new, even more vertical bow and softer, more sinuous superstructures. The new hard top is a small design masterpiece and the tubulars tapered towards the bow make for a more streamlined side view. The hull has been improved, with an increased waterline length that increases performance for the same power. There is a choice of two engines, inboard with two Volvo 440 hp engines or three Yamaha outboard engines with 425 hp each, to reach maximum speeds of 42 to 51 knots.

Scanner Envy 1200
Scanner’s new model for 2021 is called Envy 1200 and is the brainchild of Donato Montemitro, founder and owner of the yard, Scanner Marine. The yard never stops investing in new projects and innovation, and the new twelve-metre model offers a pure open deck layout. In line with the yard’s philosophy, it aspires to the right middle ground between performance and elegance. The new Scanner Envy 1200 has a central console with sporty, essential yet elegant lines. The deck is completely open with a large convivial space aft. The lines are sleek with a central hardtop with windscreen, but it can also be fitted with a T-top. From the console there are two walkways leading to the bow sundeck. At the stern, on the other hand, the philosophy is reminiscent of the walkaround, developed with a cockpit protected by raised walls to guarantee greater safety. The available versions will be with double inboard petrol or diesel engines, or in a double or triple outboard version.

Pirelli 42
The Pirelli 42 from Tecnorib, the brand’s licensee, is the yard’s latest innovation. She fits into the universe of large inflatables with her 13 metres and elegant appearance, favoured by the use of teak on a walkaround deck layout. There is plenty of space, with comfortable walkways both around the central aft sundeck and between the hard top (open at the sides) and the bow. This 13-metre walkaround manages to combine speed and comfort in a rib that is also truly remarkable in terms of its design. This is also thanks to the Swedish design studio, Mannerfelt Design Team, experts in the design of racing hulls. The Pirelli 42 is designed for a variety of engines, such as outboard. With inboard engines it is equipped with two Volvo Penta Diesel 400 hp engines. Despite the 12-metre dinghy and a tapered profile, the interior cabin is high and voluminous. Portholes provide a good amount of interior light on board.
